Our Ausome Vision:
Ausome Adventures is proud to respectfully provide advocacy, acceptance, services and support to Neurodivergent individuals and their families.
We recognize that growth on the spectrum is continuous and will benefit from different types of support throughout their lives.
We recognize every individual as unique and gifted and are honoured when we are invited to walk and learn alongside their journey.
Above all, we honour every #actuallyautistic voice and experience.
Ausome Adventures presumes competence, respects bodily autonomy, promotes self-advocacy skills and accepts and honours ALL forms of communication.
Ausome Adventures programs align with the Therapist Neurodiversity Collective and their practices.
“Therapist Neurodiversity Collective therapists don’t ‘train’ social skills. We don’t lead ‘social skills groups’ or provide social skills ‘intervention’ for autistic children and adolescents to learn to imitate neurotypical social skills through masking. We believe in teaching Autistic Acceptance to all children. We provide therapy to teach self-advocacy, self-regulation, perspective taking, safety/boundaries, and problem-solving skills using trauma informed and pro-neurodiversity approach.”
